The village of Frenaros has a number of small Byzantine churches, such as the churches of the Archangelos Michael and of Ayios Andronikos, which date to the 12th century. Also of interest is the 15th century Church of Ayia Marina, containing some interesting frescoes painted by different artists only a few of which survive today.
