Bayram to be observed in the north

Tuesday will see the first day of the Ramazan Bayram (Eid al Fitr) which will be observed in the north over the next three days.

The Turkish Cypriot civil service will be closed all week with Friday also being announced as a bank holiday.

Throughout the Bayram period, there will be open hours at the central prison in north Nicosia between 9am and 4pm.

The Religious Affairs Department has organised a visit to the Hala Sultan Tekke in Larnaca on Thursday the third day of Bayram.
