Cypriot tennis star Marcos Baghdatis is gearing up to face home favourite Brian Baker in the second round of the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Newport.
The North American ATP World Tour 250 event is the last grass-court tournament of the year.
Baghdatis, who is making his debut in Newport, was handed a bye into the next round. Baker had won the all-American battle against Austin Krajicek 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 in the previous round.
The Cypriot owns a 4-4 record on grass this year, having reached the quarters in both Halle and Nottingham.
