First on site was Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Biology professor Dr. Burak Ali Cicek who was called in by the local municipality.
Cicek checked the baby dolphin for possible wounds.
After giving the all clear, the baby dolphin was led back to sea by two divers, members of the EMU diving centre.
Erol Adalier and Savas Yapman followed the dolphin 5 km into the sea, and once they saw that the dolphin seemed to have regained a sense of direction they let it go.
