Ayia Napa awards ‘Tourism Ambassadors’

Ayia Napa added two Norwegian couples to their list of “Tourism Ambassadors” in an award ceremony on Thursday.

The two couples, Bjorn and Kari Hovland and Gunnar and Anna Marie Ulvedal have visited Ayia Napa 28 and 25 times respectively.

The awards were presented on behalf of Ayia Napa Mayor Yiannis Karousos and the council by the Ayia Napa Council’s Cultural Officer, Maria Tofini.

Explaining to the awardees of the institution of the “Ayia Napa Tourist Ambassador”, Tofini thanked the two couples for choosing Ayia Napa as their holiday destination for so many consecutive years.

“Your regular visits to our city is, without a doubt, an example to follow but the promotion of our touristic product abroad proves that Ayia Napa is a unique city worth visiting,” said Tofini.
