The 6×6 Centre for Photography, in collaboration with UK awarded astrophotographer Ollie Taylor, is organising two practical astrophotography workshops in Limassol. The workshops will take place on the mild nights of the April 29 to May 1.
Better known for its sandy beaches, azure waters, ancient ruins, rugged interior and warm climate, Cyprus as an island also has some excellent dark sky locations, ideal for astro-photography.
The workshop will cater for beginners, enthusiast and intermediate photographers.
Two separate groups of a maximum of 10 participants will be formed for the night-time practical workshops, taking place over April 29-30, under the hands-on guidance of nightscape pro Taylor.
Each practical course will then be rounded off with post-editing tuition using Lightroom and Photoshop, which will progress from beginner to intermediate.
Attendees are guaranteed to gain a new skill set, or advance and develop their existing knowledge. This theoretical session will take place on May 1 for both groups, at 6×6 Centre for Photography, Limassol.
The participation fee is €135, and includes one outdoor nightscape photography session, one theory session, transportation to location, snacks and VAT. The cost excludes accommodation, personal and equipment insurance.
