Cypriot champions APOEL will take on Greek Super League side Panionios in a friendly on Wednesday as they prepare for their opening Champions League qualifier against Dudelange later this month.
Mario Been’s side will face the Luxembourg champions on July 12 as they bid to reach the group stages of Europe’s premier club competition for a fourth time. Last season under former boss Thomas Christiansen, APOEL reached the Last 16 of the Europa League following impressive wins over Athletic Club and Olympiacos.
APOEL’s friendly against Panionios will take place in Nicosia.
Panionios, meanwhile, head into the game on the backend of an impressive 2-1 friendly win over Olympiacos.
