APOEL bags the cash as Torino set to sign Carlao

With Roberto Carlao already on his way to Torino, the Italian Serie A club is expected to announce the signing of the player later on Friday, a deal which will see Nicosia’s APOEL FC pocket a tidy €500,000.

Torino has until January 10 to pay up and has in effect changed APOEL’s transfer plans as she desperately needs to find an experienced defender.

Friday’s practice took place without the stopper while APOEL officials announced that Alexandrou and Paraskeva followed personal training programmes while the rest of the team practiced normally.

Carlao had always sought to take the extra step in his career – attested by the tricks employed by himself and his agent on occasion.

It seems that he has finally, through APOEL, fulfilled his aims and has taken that extra step in his career.
