Aphrodite Rally car falls off two metre cliff

Two crew members of a race car were saved by a miracle when their car fell off a two meter cliff during the Aphrodite Rally on Sunday afternoon.

According to a police announcement, the accident took place during the Ayias special root, when the car fell off a two meter cliff. Police officers who were at the Rally rushed to the scene but the two crew members were not to be found in the car.

The Greek driver and co-driver had got out of the car following the crush, only to get lost. The two men were found soon afterwards by police officers who were searching for them.

Earlier on Sunday morning a car participating in the Aphrodite Rally was involved in a serious accident in busy part of Paphos on Sunday morning. As a result of the crash the two crew members were seriously injured.

The two crew members were transferred to the Paphos General Hospital, where they are underwent a series of checks.
