To date, 120 asylums seekers from 143 applications submitted to the Greek Asylum Services for relocation to Cyprus have been approved by Cypriot authorities

According to the data released by the Service regarding applications by 18,572 asylum seekers to be relocated to other European Union member states from October 2015-August 2017, 96 persons indicated that they wished to relocate to Cyprus.
The majority of relocation applications submitted to the Greek authorities are for Germany with Austria, Poland and Hungary drawing practically no interest.
Germany has taken on 4,175 applicants, France 3,770, Holland 1,595 and Sweden 1,231.
Prior applications to the Greek Asylum Services for relocation number some 27,378 people, 24,749 of which have been processed and of which 22,288 have been accepted while a further 532 cases are still pending.
